She could smell sweat and the remnants of a day's work on the too-dry lawn even as warm arms circled about her waist and pulled her in. Familiar comfort against her skin, the heat from his body brought gooseflesh over arms and chest. Soft lips touched the curve between collarbone and neck, hands tracing the softness of her belly and thighs. She murmured blissful nonsense and brought his hand to her own lips. Tender kisses graced the palm of his hand and she managed to lift her chin to gaze at the image in the bathroom mirror.

Night and day, she with dark hair and richly colored eyes set against ivory skin, he with flame curls paired to eyes caught between ocean and sky. They remained still, frozen in the bathroom mirror, his lips against her jawline, hers to his fingertips.
