Name: Tanashii Ninitehane
Meaning: 'soul like a feather' in reference to Ma'at's weighing of souls in the afterlife
Nickname: Nini, Hane-chan (the latter is only used by the Doitra, and selectively)
Age: 16
Birthday: September 29
Astrological Stuff: Libra sun, Aries moon
Blood Type: A
Music: Nini is a lover of the rhythmic music of the Rubi islands. Punctuated by syncopated drumbeats and reed pipe harmonies, it serves as a lively backdrop for festivals and family gatherings. While Nini is hardly an accomplished musician, she adores the music and can often be found barefoot and dancing with her cousins as relatives play.
Making other people look good: She truly enjoys hairstyling, despite the fact that it's a job. She derives great pleasure from satisfied customers, the sense of accomplishment secondary to the happiness of the person in her chair at the salon.
Gossip: Nini's a chatterbox, and she loves talking about the events of the day as well as what's going on in the lives of people on the island. She doesn't do it in a malicious manner; she just likes a good conversation and is genuinely interested in the lives of her extended family, friends, and neighbors. She doesn't spread rumors, though. Nini will go to the person in question to gently confirm or deny events that have been discussed.
Parties: With her outgoing personality and love of people, is it any wonder that this young woman doesn't like a good party? Nini thrives in a celebratory atmosphere, and she plays a lively hostess when her family is the one hosting parties.
Fighting as a means of resolving conflict: Nini is not one to resort to a fistfight, and silence is preferred to harsh words. She feels that negotiation is far more effective when done through intelligent reasoning. As a corollary to this, she disapproves of the Evalon tradition of combat to choose a ruler.
Monarchy: Nini sees no justice for the people in a monarchy; they have no control over the actions of such a ruler. Nini would like to see elections and rule by small committees begun on the outer islands and shown to be more effective than the Rubi monarchy. Unfortunately, the people adore their new leader and Nini's ideas are, needless to say, extremely unpopular. This doesn't dissuade her, as she offers that if they liked her so much, they could show it by electing her, rather than simply be audience to what amounts to little more than a street fight.
Being alone: This young woman needs people around her to thrive and be happy. She wants to be part of a team or family, and being left alone scares her to no end. Solitude for a little while can be calming, but unless she's sleeping, Nini would rather be around people.
Hairstyling: It's a job, but it's also a hobby. Nini loves trying out new styles of braids on her siblings and cousins, her nimble fingers suited to what some might see as a tiring task. She has an eye for aesthetics, and making people happy by improving appearances consequently makes her feel good.
Storytelling: Nini's extroverted personality coupled with the need to entertain large numbers of younger siblings and cousins make her a rather talented storyteller. Her imagination allows her to deviate from the 'usual' island tales, spicing them up with original characters and situations. As a storyteller, she is an avid reader of island history... which ultimately led her to the Doitra, specifically Ma'at, known among the islanders in oft-forgotten tales as the Grand Lady Deytrah.
Now that she's on 'probation' at the family business, Nini's goals include devouring all of the island literature related to the Grand Lady Deytrah and those associated with her. She's still trying to convince people that they should try elections on the island... just to see if it would work.
Hair: Being from Rubi, Nini's hair is a flaming sanguine mass that, if left unchecked, would frizz and corkscrew out of control. Coarse and in constant need of conditioner, it is tamed in a mess of dreadlocks the each end in two or three brightly colored beads, many silver. When wet, the braids hang midway between her chin and shoulders. When dry, her hair resembles an exotic flameflower.
Face: Pale berry-red eyes flecked with gold stand out, framed by dark lashes and impeccably arched brows. Dark freckles dance across the bridge of her nose, a shade darker than her toasted nutmeg complexion. Round cheeks, an impish nose, and a dazzling smile give her a look far younger than her sixteen years. She has no piercings or tattoos, but sports a few scars across her collarbone and over her shoulders from a nasty case of faowlipox as a child. These scars are faded, nothing more than some dark uneven patches the size of a fingerprint.
Voice: Nini speaks in the rhythmic patterns of one from the outer volcanic islands of Rubi, her sweet soprano rich and melodic. The accent resembles a modern-day Jamaican accent where words are clipped and slang is common in familiar conversation. She speaks very fast in regular conversation, and those not accustomed to listening to her may find her rather difficult to understand.
Build: Nini stands at a demure 4'9" and weighs 100 lbs soaking wet. Slender, with enough curves to prove that she is assuredly female, she could easily be described as "cute, pixie-like, adorable, kawaii," etc. She sports a B-cup sized chest, wide hips, a flat stomach, and dainty hands and feet.
Clothing: The tropical climate demands light and airy clothing, so Nini can usually be found in brightly colored sarongs and dresses. She prefers patterns of reds, greens, blues, and yellows, and stays away from darker, more somber clothing. Beaded sandals of woven reeds serve as shoes, and she wears no less than 10 thin silvery bangle bracelets on each wrist.
Usual Moods
Enthusiastic, charming, and a bit on the impulsive side, Nini is a small yet fiery bundle of energy. Ever positive in her encouragement, Nini thrives in a family or team environment. She has a certain confidence about her, and she excels in the role of cheerleader for those who may lack their own self-drive. She is a bubbly extrovert, affectionate and talkative... she's 'perky' to a fault. Nini keeps a cheerful attitude about her, a secure handle on her own feelings and emotions such that she can soothe others and lend a helping hand when needed. Despite this warm demeanor, Nini can erupt in a passionate fervor of frenzied debate and logic when she feels that someone has been wronged. In such situations, she is not one to back down. Her want for harmony and compromise can be shadowed by a need for justice and fairness at home and at work, for herself as well as for those dear to her.
Nini is a student of society, as opposed to a student of academics. She prides herself on her ability to work with and mediate between varied groups of people. Additionally, she is one to be impressed by good manners and a neat appearance; at the same time, she doesn't pass judgment on someone for slouching at the dinner table or having holes in their shoes. A natural love of balance and harmony causes Nini to compromise her own wants in many situations; however, there are occasions where she may use her charm and intense enthusiasm to force the compromise to suit her own wants and needs.
Nini's impulsiveness can get in her way when coupled with her interpretation of an 'unfair' situation. When this impulsiveness combines with her impromptu crusades against social wrongs, this can make for a near-zealous attitude. Such behavior earned her a near-stoning rather recently. Her want for balance in everything can lead to seemingly benign decisions taking an inordinate amount of time. Her impulsiveness limited to those issues that truly matter to her, Nini's inability to make a decision over something can drive those close to her mad.
Character Interaction
Those who meet Nini for the first time encounter a lively teenager who will readily engage them in pleasant conversation. In the salon, she plays the role of a chatty hairdresser to a tee, asking about family and work as she deftly braids and beads. She thrives on interaction with many different kinds of people. At work, she loves making people look pretty... making someone else happy makes Nini happy, it's that simple. Nini doesn't supervise well; she is a better team player than a team leader. She respects authority, but she will look for ways to bend the rules if she believes that her way might better serve the needs of the team. She is not one to immediately disagree with a stranger; instead, she prefers to present a contrary idea and slowly debate the subject until it becomes apparent (to her, at least) that she is right, and that any kind of compromise on said topic would work in her favor.
Personal Interaction
Nini cherishes friends and family, loyal and self-sacrificing. She is loving and affectionate, thriving on personal interaction. Meeting friends means hugs and kisses and lively conversation. Those who know Nini well might experience less of her compromising nature and more of her impulsiveness, as she tends to let her diplomatic nature slip when not in public or at work. Nini is more fervent in her pursuits of equality and justice around her family, something which they've not appreciated as of late. To keep the peace, she tends to simply change the subject or offer an ambivalent comment. For Nini to become quiet and not offer any kind of opinion is a certain sign of severe disagreement.
This petite young woman does not function well alone. For Nini to be truly happy, she must be with people, contributing to a group effort in some way, shape, or form. Being alone is rather uncomfortable, and the thought of abandonment terrifies Nini. This is apparent in her suppression of her opinions and beliefs to appease her family, as she'd rather remain with them and be silent than be left alone with naught but her views on social injustice and the need for equality in Rubi.
Way of Life
Nini is part of a greater whole, be it as a part of her family or as a newly-discovered member of the Doitra. Loyalty to family and friends as well as an innate need for justice fuel her actions and ambitions. A fiery enthusiasm drives her to reach her goals, and Nini's newfound devotion to the Doitra will only fuel her desire to secure a perfect equality and justice wherever possible.
Nini has a sort of diplomatic charm about her, her sweet and energetic nature often aiding her attempts at compromise. She can be moderately objective, and she always seeks fair play. Consequently, she plays by the rules as long as they are fair to all players. Nini is loyal to a fault and thrives in a team environment, building up other members of her 'family' with encouragement and help in any way possible. Finally, she is extremely energetic. One could hardly accuse her of being lazy.
In spite of her diplomacy, Nini can have moments of impulse that aren't always appreciated. She tends to compromise her own needs for others, so unless she truly wants something, she's not going to vocalize her personal desire when others could be better helped. Nini expects people to follow her ideas if she has explained them once, and she can tend towards a cheerful manipulation of sorts when she pursuing a goal. Finally, she tends to be a bit vain, primping before she goes out and making sure that hair and clothing are both perfect.
No one expected Masako's first child to survive. Born five weeks premature during the worst hurricane to hit the Rubi outer islands in fifty years, Nini slept in a blanket lined roasting pan set in a warmed wood stove for the first month of her life. Barely four pounds at birth, Nini defied all odds and made it past her first three years without incident. The usual childhood diseases took their toll, assuring that Nini would never grow taller than five feet... and that was being rather hopeful. By the time Nini reached her tenth birthday, she had six younger siblings and close to twenty cousins, most of whom towered over her and required attention, supervision, and mindless amusement to keep them from underfoot. So, she picked up storytelling.
Outside the salon owned by the women of the family, Nini would hold a captive audience of thirty to forty children from ages two to twelve. Stories varied; some were lighthearted tales of mischievous tree monkeys to legends of the people who molded Rubi society. With an audience about her, Nini would act out characters, changing movement and voice to suit each story. Had her mother and aunties not had such a successful business, the young girl might have been a professional storyteller.
At thirteen, Nini's Great-Auntie Yoshe introduced her to work in the salon. Sweeping floors, cleaning towels, grinding herbs... simple, but important to the success of the shop, Nini realized after the first week. No job was greater than another, and everyone worked to ensure that customers left happy. Her maturity and commitment, as well as a natural eye for style, led the older women to teach her other salon duties. By the time she turned fourteen, Nini could braid, bead, and style with the best of her relatives. So what if she needed a stepstool sometimes?
When it came to storytelling, Nini always preferred the legends of the islands to the simple animal stories that the children demanded of her. Besides, she could only stomach so many cute tales of lost faowliwarks or hotmouth frogs who said too much and got eaten by tree snakes. Her favorite story, first told to her by her great-grandmother when she was four, was the legend of the Grand Lady Deytrah. Gran even said once that Nini's gold sparkles in her eyes came from the Grand Lady herself, always prompting a childlike sigh of awe before the story even began.
Said to have appeared from the heavens in answer to the prayers of the poor, the Grand Lady Deytrah lived among them, educating the people until they were as smart and as resourceful as the rich landowners who forced them to work the reefs on the outer islands. The Grand Lady showed them that man and woman, though different, were equal and loved no less by the saints they each worshipped. She taught them that no person should profit from another's misfortune and suffering, and that the indentured peoples should rise up against the land bosses and show that they were equal.
With the sun-kissed Grand Lady Deytrah to lead them, they rose up against the land bosses and became equal, and free to work as they chose, as they still do today.
As she grew older, Nini sought out histories and other stories of the Grand Lady. Her cult of followers had dwindled over hundreds of years, and now her likeness was merely engraved on the podium in the courthouse on the small island. Different accounts portrayed different women; some benevolent, some bloodthirsty. One account caught Nini's attention in particular... a worm-chewed diary that told of a meeting that the Grand Lady had held with a group after the uprising against the land bosses. She had wanted to bring the people to dissolve the monarchy and rule through communal committees, the members chosen by each town and city in the country. Justice of the people, the diary called it. A few pages later, it detailed the successful poisoning of the Grand Lady, commissioned by an unnamed advisor to the queen of Rubi. While the queen had doubted the presence of an actual Doitra, a trio of court members felt it necessary to do away with such a woman, be she Doitra or merely a clever imposter.
After her research, Nini watched the Rubi government even more closely. True, they worked to better the lives of the people, but equality did not exist to her standards. The poor remained poor while the merchants and governing folk grew richer. Her own family was by no means poor, but certainly not rich. Working in the salon meant that you came in contact with everyone... because everyone had to have their beads.
Nini saw the bead trend come sometime between her fourteenth and fifteenth year. Some merchant's wife had come up with the notion that colored beads worn in the hair or about the neck would show one's profession and family. The fashion trend took off in the outer islands, allowing jewelry stores and beauty shops to prosper with the immediate call for beads. The Aunties delighted in the business rush, but Nini took personal offense to the trend. While she humored requests for the tri-color combination, Nini made it a point to decorate her own braids with every color bead imaginable. Sunrise rose, sunset violet, ocean turquoise, sandy white... she wore them all. To anyone who asked, Nini would cheerfully give her reasons, and offer to do the same to her customers. Some days, she won converts. Most days, she lost customers... and the Aunties collectively decided that politics were not to be discussed in the salon during working hours.
The Rubi tournament provoked Nini's sense of fairness to no end. While the rest of the family was bragging about some cousin's entry in the tournament, Nini couldn't stop wondering why such a system existed. Rubi was a peaceful pair of islands; in Nini's opinion, there was no need for a warrior leader. They needed an energetic, intelligent, diplomatic leader who understood economics and truly wanted to better the lives of the people. Fighting in tournaments didn't test any of that; they needed an election, Nini decided one day while in the middle of a beading.
Nini's vocal demand for elections was met with nothing less than outrage from her family and the rest of the island's inhabitants. The islanders had rallied behind the new leader of Rubi during the tournament; for Nini to say anything against the young woman that the peasants had embraced as one of their own was as close as one could get to treason in the villages of the outer islands. The Aunties had to contend with people shouting at the salon, Nini herself going hoarse as she repeated over and over that the tournament wasn't fair, and that an election would be the only proper way to choose the best leader for Rubi. An impromptu stoning began, with Nini being pulled into the shop by her younger cousin and three windows shattered before the crowd dispersed. A scathing lecture from the Aunties commenced, with Great-Auntie Yoshe threatening that any other outbursts or displays that even hinted at politics would result in Nini being dismissed from the salon.
Nini crawled under her covers immediately afterwards, crying herself to sleep. Turning in early led to dreams of the Grand Lady Deytrah herself, who stroked the child's unruly hair as Nini sobbed into the golden lady's shoulder. The regal Grand Lady gently assured her that things could be made right and just, with the proper influences. Nini's dream told her that there were more of the Doitra, as the Grand Lady called them, and that they needed someone to fill her own place among them as a seeker after justice. Awed by her dreams, Nini returned to her book collections, seeking new information from both written word and aged storytellers on the larger islands. The Grand Lady, who called herself Ma'at, continued to visit Nini for weeks in her dreams, calling her 'Hane-chan' as she voiced a gentle reassurance that justice could be served in some way, both on Rubi and beyond. Nini felt herself blessed by the Grand Lady's request that she continue her work, and she eagerly awaited a chance to meet the others who have heeded the call of the Doitra.
Nini has been on a 'probationary' term of employment at the salon, reduced to a few clients when the rest of the family is busy. She is usually sent out to collect herbs for masques and serums or to the shed and kiln to bake and paint the tiny clay beads used to decorate hair. She has only recently met her guardian, Shiraha, and is still trying to figure out why the Grand Lady Deytrah would send a big bald bird to help. At the same time, she anxiously awaits the promise of meeting other Doitra, especially the Gold Doitra who knew the Grand Lady personally.
Symbol: Outline of an ostrich. See picture HERE.
Main Color: Indian red, coded as #CC3333
Transformation Phrase: Ma'at silver power, make up!
Transformation Sequence: Nini grins and pulls a silver-beaded braid in front of her face to hang between her eyes. Looking at the ankh etching on the bead in a comical cross-eyed fashion, she calls out, "Ma'at Silver Power..." The silver bead at the end of the braid glows, the ankh coming to the surface and solidifying. All of the silver beads on her head do the same trick, until half of her braids have tiny ankhs visible at the ends. She lets the braid go, a white ostrich feather forming in her hand as the braid springs back into place. Nini cups the feather in her hands, calling the words, "Make UP!" before puffing gently into her hands and sending the feather upwards. The single feather bursts into a mass of silver and rust-colored down that swirls about her, fixing itself to her figure to form her fuku. A single white feather embeds itself in the sun at the center of her chest, the image of the ostrich forming in a burst of light. Ma'at ends the sequence with feet together, hands clasped at her chest, staring cross-eyed at the one remaining feather that perpetually sees fit to remain on her nose.
Introduction Phrase: She gives a comical puff to send the feather flying. "To serve justice and deliver right judgment, I am Sailor Ma'at!"

Choker: Silver, with ostrich engraving.
Earrings: Silver ear cuffs on the cartilage of each ear... no piercings.
Collar: Silver, with no lines.
Shoulder Flaps: None
Gloves: Simple thin silver gloves that end at her wrists. Nothing fancy.

Name: Judged Unworthy
Description: Ma'at points at the target with two fingers, palm down. She traces the glyph of an ostrich feather in front of her, hazy red lines showing the outline. As the feather glyph is completed, she calls out, "With a heavy heart, you are judged unworthy. Ammut, forward!" and swings the tracing hand back as the feather glyph is branded on the forehead of her target. Beneath her hand appears the semblance of an ugly beast in the same red mist. A slow flick of her wrist, and the Ammut-beast charges at her target, jaws snapping ferociously. The animal goes for the target's throat, with the intent to latch on and sap magic energy out of whatever being Ma'at has chosen.
Effect: Think of Ammut as a large and angry magical pit bull. Egyptian mythology portrays this devouring demon as having head of a crocodile, the torso of a wild cat and the hindquarters of a hippopotamus. If it manages to latch on to a target, it begins to bleed magical energy away. Aside from the pain resulting from being bitten by a wild voracious demon, the target will experience a loss of magical energy at a rate of 1/5 the amount of energy required to henshin per minute of sustained bite... meaning that if a Senshi/Knight can't shake this bugger off after ten minutes, they will immediately dehenshin. So... 30 seconds, 1/10 thaumaturgic energy gone... fifteen seconds, 1/20. Obviously, if the target has already suffered a loss of magical energy, this time to detransformation is reduced. Those beings who have no magical energy (think... oh, Tifi and any of the other non-magic pirates) experience the same searing sensation at the site of Ammut's bite, but little else... and Ammut, having nothing to eat, disappears.
Power Usage and Restrictions: Ammut is pure magical energy; therefore, he is susceptible to any magic attacks or defense mechanisms. Electric and sonic attacks cause him to burst into a lovely display of red and silver sparkly light, so methods employing those power bases would work against the attack. Ammut can be dodged, but the imprint of the ostrich feather on the target's forehead acts as a tracking device. The semblance fades after ten seconds, at which point Ammut disappears if he has not secured his target. Ma'at may use this ability at a cost of 1/4 of her magic ability, but a successful attack lets her feed off of 1/4 of the thaumaturgic energy sapped from the target. She can only control one Ammut at a time, and she is unable to perform any other attacks while Ammut is visible.
Name: Justice Served
Description: Ma'at points at a target on her own team and traces the glyph of an ostrich feather in front of her, saying, "Justice be served, to right the wrongs cast upon you." The silvery semblance is then emblazoned on her teammate's right hand. Next, Ma'at summons up to five silvery feathers and utilizes them as darts to 'tag' members on the enemy team. This binds ally and enemy together such that any time one of the enemy team attacks her teammate, her teammate suffers no damage. Instead, the damage is distributed between the tagged enemies.
Effect: This is a distributive defense/warding ability that allows Ma'at to protect her teammates while they fight. It's a sort of 'retribution' spell, redirecting attacks such that an enemy's teammates suffer if Ma'at's chosen Doitra is under her protection.
Power Usage and Restrictions: Ma'at may maintain this spell for a maximum of ten minutes, able to connect as many as five enemies to one team member. She may connect more, but she will then suffer a percentage of the damage that each of the bonded enemy members experiences and the time that she is able to maintain this bond will decrease five minutes for every additional enemy target tapped. If she is injured, she is unable to sustain the concentration necessary for the spell to work. In addition, this bonding is ineffective against physical attacks. Finally, if the bonded Doitra is injured such that the glyph is broken, then the bond is broken. Ma'at is able to perform this attack for a total time of thirty minutes of 'bond time' which will decrease if she attempts to use it on more than five enemies at a time. It should be noted that the darts are not 'enemy-seeking' and that Ma'at can miss at a great distance, and that she can only throw these darts a maximum of twenty feet.
Weapon: Feather blow darts. Annoying as anything, but dipping them in a truth serum makes for a rather effective interrogation tool.
Guardian's name: Shiraha (white feather)
Species: Ostrich... mistaken for a faowliwark, a large flightless bird resembling an emu that lives on the outer islands of Rubi.
Appearance: Shiraha stands at about three meters, the top of his back one and one third meters from the ground. Bald like most ostriches, his skin is an ashen pink. Brown-black feathers cover his body, with white feathers accenting wings and tail. Eyes are an eerie gold-brown, with girlish long eyelashes. Powerful legs provide for fast running and a vicious defense.
Personality: Shiraha, for lack of a better word, adores his tiny charge. Her eagerness, her respect and unwavering faith in the Doitra that she has yet to meet, and her patience immediately endeared her to him. He does worry about her eagerness to help people, and he sees it as his job to gently remind her that she should indulge her own wants and needs every so often. Shiraha takes particular offense to being referred to as a faowliwark by Nini's cousins who can't understand why she has a bird following her around all of the time. He bears a certain amount of resentment towards the Rubi government (after all, they poisoned his beloved Ma'at) and follows every mention of "Rubi" or "Fireruby" with a derogatory hiss. With Nini, he takes an almost grandfatherly role, gentle encouragement his usual mode of operation... and no, he doesn't mind if she rides on his back. The old softie actually encourages it.
Egyro's Name: SandStryder
Type: Land
Height: Four meters high, with the actual body cradle one and one half meters long and three-quarters of a meter wide, one meter deep.
Weight: 1000 kg
Construction: SandStryder has an interior framework of lightweight yet durable adantium, a metal that has an inherently high resistance to heat as well as electric current. The exterior consists of adantium-titanium plating, which gives the semblance of feathers over the body of the egyro. The neck and legs of the bird are made up of many tiny rings that allow for maximum flexibility.
Propulsion: Thrusters are located in the 'knees' and 'ankles' of the machine, one per joint. This allows for a rapid yet fluid stride. Two additional thrusters are located under the 'wings' and can serve as emergency brakes or as a means of maneuvering in tight situations.
Auto-pilot: Ma'at can call her Egyro to her. On auto-pilot, the machine cannot attack; it does move at one and a quarter times its usual speed, due to the lack of the weight of a pilot.
Egyrodynamiserum: Applied to joints and moveable parts such as the neck and legs, it keeps out sand and dirt, allowing for smooth operation and little upkeep.
Fire Resistance: Adantium does not conduct heat; therefore, the outer shell and inner skeleton remain cool under high temperatures.
Solar charge: When not in use, SandStryder charges systems via solar panels located on the underside of the 'wings.'
Solar panels (x2): The underside of the wings serve as charging panels for SandStryder, allowing the mecha to charge simply by standing in the sunlight. If left in the sun for one hour, the mecha may run at full power for up to five hours without recharge.
Flexible 'neck' with periscope: Mirrors and treated glass inside the neck allow the rider to see targets at a distance of up to 200 ft at an accuracy such that the rider may discern the eye color of a human target.
Legs (x2): Can deliver a force of 2450 Newtons with a single kick (effect of a 250 kg weight falling on something). Thrusters in joints allow for a maximum land speed of 100 km/hr for a maximum time of two hours.
Egyrodynamiserum: Produced when recycled exhaust from the thrusters passes over a small collection of herbs and salt crystals, it flows through anaerobic conduits along the interior of the legs and neck. When exposed to air, this concoction destabilizes into a highly caustic mist. Salt crystals and herbs may be collected in any seaside/island area, but the egyro stores enough of the raw material to produce four liters of egyrodynamiserum. Replenishment is required after 100 hours of operation.
Hiss: Delivers a burst of superheated egyrodynamiserum at a target, which may prove corrosive to skin and clothing. Reactive metals or alloys containing reactive metals may also experience corrosion when in contact with the substance. The stuff's not water-soluble, either... so it needs to be wiped off, or mixed with bicarbonate and then rinsed.
SandStryder resembles a silvery ostrich in dulled adantium and titanium plates laid to look like feathers, with head, neck, legs, and feet in shiny red adantium. Neck and legs are composed of hundreds of small rings interconnected with miniscule chains to allow for maximum flexibility. Solar panels hidden under the wings are visible when SandStryder is not in full operation and has its wings outstretched to allow for charging. 'Eyes' are a glassy red crystalline composite, and SandStryder's power stone is located on its back where neck and body meet along the central bodyline.
